We start with the same heritage recipe used in our handcrafted beef sausage, this time adding a pinch of chili powder for a gentle kick. Pressed into strips and air-dried to a crisp, the result is a bold fusion of South African flavor & American tradition.

What is Droëwors Jerky?
Inspired by the same ancient Khoisan air-drying methods and bold Dutch spice traditions that gave the world biltong and droëwors, our Droëwors Jerky blends centuries of South African craft with a format that Americans already love. We start with premium USDA-certified beef, season it with Oupa's legendary spice blend, and add a pinch of chili powder for a light kick. Instead of being stuffed into casings, the meat is pressed into strips and dried to a crisp to give it the same shape as jerky, but with a bold spiced finish.
Is Droëwors Jerky raw or cooked?
Droëwors Jerky is cured and dried, not raw. The vinegar marinade and controlled drying process naturally preserves the meat, making it shelf-stable and safe to eat without cooking.

All of our products are processed and shipped from our USDA-approved facility in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
